How are clients using our technology?

This technology can be used to create very profitable waste to energy or fuels facilities with the ability to trend with the market.

The technology is also being considered for waste remediation. These facilities are less expensive to build and operate than conventional incineration or autoclave facilities, without the need of extensive pollution control.

How do your facilities help the environment?

Accepted Answer

We use waste as a “Feedstock”, slowing the flow of waste into landfills or unsightly piles. We also remediate existing impoundments to clear land for a better purpose.

By employing the C2F process, the amount of greenhouse gases and pollutants that form because of decaying waste, is reduced. What would have been pollution, is now transitioned into renewable “green energy”, or cleaner burning synthetic fuels.

How much does it cost to build one of your facilities?

Accepted Answer

Project costing depends on several things such as location, logistics to feedstock, application of the technology and desired output. We have scoped projects ranging from 10MM to 250MM. ROI is typically 3 to 5 years.

Question 4

When will it cash flow? How long does it take to pay back the investment?

Accepted Answer

Positive cash flow typically begins in the third to fourth month, and simple pay back is approximately 3 to 4 years (cost of the plant divided by EBIDTA).

Does the facility qualify for tax credits?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the feedstock and location, however many of these projects will qualify and we have applied for “New Market Tax Credits”.

Used passenger tires, railroad ties, wood chips, sugar cane residual (bagass), food starch, olive pits, dry distillers grain, switch grass, plastic, medical waste (red and black bag), municipal solid waste, animal waste, sewer sludge, coal (especially brown or low BTU) and hydrocarbon waste, just to mention a few…

Does the process harm the environment?

This is not incineration. Our first stage (devol) forces oxygen out of the feedstock. In a reducing environment, the volatiles are released, controlled and reformed in a closed loop system and does not release the VOC’s those into the atmosphere. In a reducing environment, pollutants such as dioxins and furans cannot form.

CO2 is sequestered and recycled to be used in the process or sold as a product.

Is the technology proven?

Yes. The technology has been developed over a 30 year period and has been scaled up from bench-top, to pilot, through research and development, to demonstration and several commercial models ranging from five to two hundred tons per day.
